In short: The ₹30,213 crore Jio Platforms IPO closes today, Friday, 23 October. By about 11 am on the last day, it was subscribed 6.41 times overall. Institutions had bid for 13.84 times their share and retail investors for 1.89 times. If you want to apply, place your bid by 5 pm and approve the UPI request in your bank app by 7 pm.

What this means if you apply
- Allotment is a lottery for retail: retail demand is almost twice the retail portion, so most applicants will get one lot or nothing. Applying for more lots does not raise your chances much.
- Use the shareholder quota if eligible: if you held Reliance shares on the record date, you can also apply in the ₹2,500 crore shareholder category.
- Grey market premium is not a promise: it is an unofficial number and it has already slipped this week as markets fell. Listing gains can be much lower.
